8 /9/22 From the OTR Chamber of Commerce:

We are incredibly saddened by last weekend's events, and as OTR is a tight-knit community, this has affected us all. We are collaborating closely with the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Police Department throughout this investigation. We will continue to work tirelessly with both entities to ensure a safe community for everyone. The OTR Chamber has been coordinating with community partners and leaders in diverse sectors to prevent and solve these public safety challenges, and we will continue this hard work as a team. The OTR community is the special place it is today because of its residents, small businesses, leaders in urban development and many visitors. OTR has demonstrated its resilience in the past and will once again recover with the help of those who have shaped it and believe in it. We encourage everyone to ask "how can I help" and follow with action, whether shopping a Main Street business or volunteering with a local OTR non-profit. We have hope in the collective impact of those who love Over-the-Rhine, and together, we will continue to shape it into the safest and most welcoming place possible.

Ways You Can Contribute and Support:

Support our Main Street businesses. Buy a gift card, order takeout or visit a Main Street business! For the most up-to-date info on hours of operation check with individual businesses. Check out our digital map of all our magnificent Main Street brick & mortars and show some love (and drop some dollars!)
Donate to the OTR Chamber: Contributions support our hard work in preventing and solving public safety issues in OTR. Reach out to [email protected] for how to contribute.
Volunteer at an OTR non-profit:  OTR has over 30 nonprofits, who help our community stay resilient and are making an enormous impact on our urban core. Invest in a safe and healthy community by donating your time. They can be found in our Offices + Education category here ( yes, we will be creating a non-profit category!! ) and to start, here are a couple OTR Chamber members who we recommend: Saturday Hoops , Ziegler Park , Play Library , Indigo Hippo , and Art Beyond Boundaries
Show your community support at Second Sunday on Main: Second Sunday on Main , presented by the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce, is a FREE monthly neighborhood street festival in Cincinnati’s historic Over-The-Rhine. This celebration includes vibrant arts and music programming, a diverse vendor market, a biergarten lounge and promotes the small businesses of Main Street. Join us rain or shine, every second Sunday of the month from June - October.
