8 /9/22 From the OTR Chamber of Commerce:
We are incredibly saddened by last weekend's events, and as OTR is a tight-knit community, this has affected us all. We are collaborating closely with the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Police Department throughout this investigation. We will continue to work tirelessly with both entities to ensure a safe community for everyone. The OTR Chamber has been coordinating with community partners and leaders in diverse sectors to prevent and solve these public safety challenges, and we will continue this hard work as a team. The OTR community is the special place it is today because of its residents, small businesses, leaders in urban development and many visitors. OTR has demonstrated its resilience in the past and will once again recover with the help of those who have shaped it and believe in it. We encourage everyone to ask "how can I help" and follow with action, whether shopping a Main Street business or volunteering with a local OTR non-profit. We have hope in the collective impact of those who love Over-the-Rhine, and together, we will continue to shape it into the safest and most welcoming place possible.
