The 13th Annual OTR 5K – A Summer Celebration is OTR’s two-day kickoff to the start of summer in OTR! Presented by the Central Parkway YMCA, come welcome the return of summer with events in Washington Park such as Art on Vine the evening of Friday, May 17th, and then return for our 13th annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, May 18th at 9 AM with a summer celebration to follow, including 513 City Flea, live music and more!
Don’t miss one of OTR’s biggest events of the year. On Saturday morning, the whole family can participate, with a half-mile race for children ages six to nine, and kids under six years can try out a quarter-mile race. Both races are a registered event, complete with racing bib and medals, and end with a mini waffle from Taste of Belgium (not to be confused with the full-sized waffle that each OTR 5K participant receives when they cross the finish line!). Children over age nine are invited to participate in the OTR 5K with their parent or guardian.
After racers give it their all at the 5K, they’re invited to enjoy the Summer Celebration which includes live bands in the bandstand and this year’s first City Flea of the season in Washington Park.
